Big Bay Point Lighthouse is located about 25 miles north of Marquette, MI, on the rocky cliffs overlooking Lake Superior. Though it still serves as an active navigational aid, the light was temporarily decommissioned for almost 30 years.
The keeper’s home is a two-story brick structure with a large square light tower built into its front face. Big Bay Point currently offers accommodations as a charming historical bed and breakfast set against the untamed wilderness of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
